Republicans, angry that the Democrats turned a funeral ceremony for Senator Wellstone, (who recently died in a plane crash) into a political event, have in turn politicized the politicizing of Mr. Wellstones death. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

as much as i would love to associate the high
number of xtians within the repulican party--
and therefore base my conclusion that it isn't
surprising that the republicans were hypocrites...
i think i'll just keep my mouth shut on this one.

What a weird combination of events this past 4 - 6 weeks. Instead of gloom and doom from the news agencies about our economy, Iraq, and unemployment...the news focused on the sniper.

Once the sniper issue was resolved, Wellstone dies in a plane crash.

Bill, Hillary and others help turn the remembrance into a political event. the Republicans create a backlash by crying Politicization of someone's death, which, sad to say, IS POLITICIZING of the Pollitization of the same issue, AGAIN!

But the Democrats are not quick enough to realize this, and the Republicans get that slight push, which now is being spun as support for George Bush.

So a serial sniper plus a congressman's death just before elections equal several narrow victories for the Republicans.

(By the way, I'm not a diehard Democrat, although I still am disgusted at the treasonous acts the Republicans performed in their attempt to impeach Clinton a few years back.)
